Canberra
Canberra is well known for its national icons and politicians rather than its lifestyle and cultural aspects but there is more soul to this city than meets the eye – you just need to know where to look. Home to a group of locals who have made it their life’s work to perfect their passions of art, food and wine, take the time to explore and you will be rewarded by your discovery.
Silo Bakery
Graham Hudson and Leanne Gray are fanatical about producing the finest bread and pastries in Canberra.
Their exquisite breads are produced with a fermentation process that results in a complexity of flavour that will have you coming back for any morsel from their oven. Their styles include the Silo sourdough (a light rye), Kingston sourdough (white), vollkornbrot, baguette and two Italian style breads, the casalinga and stirato.
Pastries, tarts and croissants are also made onpremises daily until sold out and Silo's walk-in cheese room holds an assortment of quality Australian farmhouse and imported European cheeses that are the perfect take-home companion with your Canberra wines.
Silo is also one of Canberra's most popular cafes serving breakfast and lunch five days a week.
