Canberra

Canberra is well known for its national icons and politicians rather than its lifestyle and cultural aspects but there is more soul to this city than meets the eye – you just need to know where to look. Home to a group of locals who have made it their life’s work to perfect their passions of art, food and wine, take the time to explore and you will be rewarded by your discovery.

Mount Majura Vineyard

Jen Whitney (Cellar Door Manager), Julia Star (Sales & Marketing Manager), Frank van de Loo (Viticulturist & Winemaker) and Clyde Morton (Vineyard Manager) make up the team at Mount Majura Vineyard.

Combined they share a passion for wine, the arts, people and winemaking. With its rich red soils over ancient limestone, Mount Majura Vineyard offers both unique wines and winery experience.

Only ten minutes from Canberra city, this picturesque undulating vineyard offers an arty ambience, regularly featuring exhibitions by local artists and artisans.

The teams seated tastings and regional food platters have been a hit with visitors and the mysterious sets of gumboots at the entrance can be readily explained if you enquire about their Gumboot Tours.

Guests can don the boots for a stroll through the vines and an up-close and personal experience with the blessed grape
