Yass
Yass is located about 280 km southwest of Sydney, on the Hume Highway. The Yass River, which is a tributary of the Murrumbidgee River, flows past the town. Yass is 56km from Canberra.
The Globe Inn
Six years ago Annette Walters-Crowther purchased the Globe Inn and says she still enjoys sharing the rich history of the building with guests and seeing them experience the old world charm of the inn.
Situated in the heart of historic Yass (only 45mins from Canberra) The Globe Inn (circa 1847) is a charming Georgian hotel full of old world charm with a colourful past.
Accommodation consists of five stately bedrooms, all with en-suites. Dinner can be prepared by the Globe’s resident chef or local produce can be provided for you to cook on the barbecues in the lush gardens.
Sip cool climate wines on the open veranda that overlook the historic courthouse while enjoying the changing hues of the distant purple hills of Yass.
